    Gov. Youngkin issues flag order to honor life of former firefighter killed at Trump rally

    RICHMOND ( DC News Now ) — Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has issued a flag order in honor of the former Pennsylvania Volunteer Firefighter who was killed during a Trump rally shooting over the weekend.

    Gov. Youngkin said he issued this order to remember the life of Corey Comperatore, who died while shielding his family.

    DC, Maryland, Virginia officials respond to Trump rally shooting

    At noon on July 15, all Virginia and U.S. flags on local and state buildings are to be lowered and remain at half-staff until sunset on July 16.

    “Virginia stands in solidarity with and extends prayers to all Pennsylvanians, especially those who remain in critical condition and their families,”

    said Gov. Youngkin, in a news release.
