TRINITY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is in custody after allegedly arming himself with an ax during a disturbance, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says.

According to a report, on Saturday, RCSO responded to an armed person at a house on Hunters Woods Drive and allegedly found Bobby Lee Hall, 48, of Trinity, armed with an ax.

RCSO located the victim inside the house.

Hall was arrested and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center where RCSO says probable cause was found to charge him with felony first-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor resisting a public officer and misdemeanor communicating threats.

Hall was given no bond. His first appearance in Randolph County District Court is Monday.
