Hoka’s Speedgoat 6 Trail Running Sneaker Sheds Weight With CMEVA Foam and a New Ultralight Woven Upper

Today, Hoka is launching the Speedgoat 6, the latest iteration of its award-winning trail running series.

The Hoka Speedgoat 6 is the lightest sneaker in the franchise, thanks to a switch to more responsive CMEVA foam and a new lightweight woven upper. Coming in at 9.8 ounces for a men’s size 10, the Speedgoat 6 is half an ounce lighter than the Speedgoat 5. The heel-to-toe drop has been raised from 4mm to 5mm, while the platform offers neutral stability and balanced cushioning. Beneath, the Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5mm Traction Lugs features a revised orientation inspired by goat hooves to increase grip and adaptability.

An internal support chasis helps lock down the foot, while a dual-sided gusseted tongue provides additional comfort. A new heel pull has also been added for easy on and off, while a toe bumper defends against rocks and other debris.

The Speedgoat 6 was meticulously crafted to excel in these rugged environments, offering a seamlessly smooth ride that can conquer a myriad of elements,” Colin Ingram, vice president of Product at Hoka, said in a press release. “We are excited for trail enthusiasts to experience the GOAT, whether they are taking on their next trail race, embarking on a thru-hike, exploring more technical terrains or stepping onto the trail for the first time.”

The Hoka Speedgoat 6 is out now through Hoka’s website and stores, as well as select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $155. In the fall, Hoka will release low- and mid-top iterations of the Speedgoat 6 featuring Gore-Tex Invisible Fit technology.
