    $500,000 lottery prize among several big wins across NC. Where were the tickets sold?

    A $500,000 lottery prize capped a weekend of big wins across North Carolina.

    The lottery player bought a Lucky for Life game ticket that matched all but one number picked in the drawing Sunday, July 14. The ticket was worth $25,000 a year for life, a prize that totals $500,000 if taken as a lump sum, according to drawing results and game rules.

    The winning ticket was sold online in Leland, west of Wilmington, an N.C. Education Lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News via email.

    The winner joins other North Carolina lottery players who scored $110,000 on Friday and $100,000 on Saturday. Here’s a roundup of the results:
