Golden Retriever Stands at Counter Like a Human to Order His Pup Cup

Sometimes the best part of having a dog is the way they show you they're actually the ones in charge. Just ask a very good boy named Duke who knows what he wants, a pup cup, and will order it all by himself—with no help from Mom!

The July 3 TikTok video shared by Duke the Golden ( @dukethegolden ) shows the pup going right up to the counter to place his order and it's seriously the cutest thing ever! Take a look!

The hysterical clip captioned, "Duke spoiled??? Nevvvvverrrrrr," shows the Golden marching into the coffee shop where he immediately goes to the counter where he stands on hind legs with his head peering over the top as if he's placing his own order. "My Golden Retriever and his spoiled self," the clip says, which is evident in the way Duke looks around, confused at where his pup cup is!

He hops down after with the biggest smile on his furry little face which really means he deserves all the pup cups the store can muster.

Duke's fans are getting a kick out of his confidence (and so are we)!

"The fact that he’s looking around like ‘where’s the pup cup?!’ Duke is such a cutie," one person commented. "I would spoil him if I saw him everyday at the store," another said. "Talk about a million dollar smile," another added.

Hopefully he got his treat after this because he did, in fact, order one!

    Golden Retrievers and Confidence

As one of the most friendly, gentle dog breeds, Golden Retrievers walk around with a certain j'nai sais quoi that some other breeds inherently lack. The American Kennel Club says that Golden Retrievers are naturally outgoing , trustworthy, and eager-to-please. These family-centric pups are generally easy to train because they're naturally joyous and playful like puppies.

Though originally bred to retrieve prey for long hours, they have enough energy for fetch and outdoor play. Their confidence, however, is high! Goldens believe because they love everyone, so everyone obviously loves them. They're not afraid to go up to a stranger for a pat on the head or, like Jake, demand their pup cup on their own!

Their infectious smile and gentle nature makes it that much harder to tell them no, which we're reminded by just watching Duke. If this Golden Retriever's attempt to order his own pup cup doesn't win you over, nothing will!
