    Eaton County District Court Judge Julie O’Neill resigns

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Eaton County District Court Judge Julie O’Neill has submitted her resignation to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

    6 News obtained her resignation letter July 15. The letter is dated July 9. The resignation becomes effective on July 22. In the letter she notes she is not on the bench currently due to a medical leave.

    Whitmer will now appoint a successor.

    In the letter O’Neill notes she has served as a judge for the last “seven and half years.”
