    Motorcyclist flown to hospital after crash in Montgomery County

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A motorcyclist was flown to a local hospital following a crash in Montgomery County over the weekend.

    According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on Sunday, July 14, on Dover Road just before S. Liberty Church Road.

    The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said a 2024 BMW S1000 motorcycle was traveling west on Dover Road while improperly following a 2006 Chevy.

    Officials reported the motorcycle struck the Chevy’s right rear, left the roadway and came to a “final uncontrolled rest” in the wood line.

    The 36-year-old motorcyclist was reportedly flown to a hospital to be treated for an injury. The extent of the injury remains unknown.

    THP said that neither the driver nor the passenger of the Chevy were injured.

    A preliminary report revealed that charges are pending against motorcyclist following the outcome of the investigation.

    No other information was immediately released.
