Clark County seeks public comment on park improvement plan

Clark County Public Works Parks and Lands is seeking public comment on the six-year Parks Capital Improvement Plan, which will provide maintenance and enhancements at existing and developing parks across the county.

Comments on the Parks Capital Improvement Plan are due by Tuesday, Aug. 6, a news release by Clark County stated.

New projects and programs proposed in the plan include the construction of Curtain Creek Community Park, improvements at Harmony Sports Complex, enhancements to Salmon Creek Regional Park, neighborhood park planning at Mount Vista, access improvements at Hazel Dell Community Park, access improvements at 78th Street Heritage Farm and the development of a new Cougar Creek Woods park.

The drafted plan is available online at clark.wa.gov/public-works/park-projects-and-funding. Commentary may be submitted by email to pwparksprojects@clark.wa.gov.

The Clark County Council will review and adopt the plan during September or October this year, the news release stated.
