Katy Perry Shares a Cute Glimpse of Summertime With Daughter Daisy & the Creative Way They Spend Time Together

Summer is a great time to slow down and enjoy every moment (you know, stop and smell the flowers and all that good stuff), and Katy Perry is doing just that. The pop star shared new photos from her family vacation with fiancé Orlando Bloom and their daughter Daisy Dove, who turns 4 next month — and we are totally inspired by their creative bonding activity!

“Woman’s World, work/life balance edition 😎🏝️💞,” the “Woman’s World” singer posted on Instagram over the weekend. She shared several photos from their trip to Sardinia, Italy, including a video of Perry watching a sunset on a boat, a clip of her and Bloom walking on treadmills together, and a video of Perry jumping on the beach, while Bloom and Daisy swim in the ocean behind her. But the parts that stood out the most are the artistic moments with Daisy.

In one picture, she and Daisy sit at either end of an outdoor table, with a collection of colorful rocks spread out in front of them. Daisy sits on a towel, with paint splattered on her legs and hands, as she dips a paintbrush into a tin of green pant. Her long blonde hair blows in the wind in this casual picture (it’s giving “California Girls” honestly). Perry also has a paintbrush and tin of paints in front of her, and all the rocks are covered in various colors. It looks like such a relaxing way to spend a day on the beach — not to mention super easy and affordable! Saving this for our next family vacay or even bored day at home.

Another photo shows another creative activity Daisy did. This one has three bottles, one of which is wrapped in pink yarn with the word “MOM” written on it, and the other is wrapped in blue yarn with “DADDY” written on it. The middle is a glass soda bottle filled with dyed sand and decorated with stickers and a red bow on top. So cute!

The family of three has been hanging out on Italian beaches for their vacation, with little Daisy tagging along. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Perry wore a brown bikini and sunglasses, with her dark brown hair up in a bun. The Red Right Hand star was shirtless with short navy swim trunks on. And Daisy was a burst of color in a pink shirt swimsuit with matching bucket hat, both covered in a fitting white daisy print. When she was in the water, she also had on a light green floatie around her chest and back. Bloom was even pictured carrying a pink bucket, clearly set on helping Daisy build a sandcastle.

In an interview with Condé Nast Traveler in May, the former American Idol judge shared her favorite part about visiting Italy. “I’m a carb girl,” she said. “I have been in the little cobblestone streets of the smallest towns on the coast of Italy, or even in Florence — and when they take their siesta, they really mean it. Everything is closed. What’s the Italian saying? Dolce far niente!”

“You see these older people playing games, and kids in the streets,” she continued. “You see cats lying everywhere. Everyone’s tanned, beautiful, sunkissed, just enjoying life. It looks like a commercial for travel.”

The “Teenage Dream” singer also shared how much she likes traveling with Daisy. “Everything is so alive for her. At night, she wants to make a tent in the sheets on the bed, and she feels like she is traveling from this tent and wants to bring all her stuffies,” Perry explained. “So she loves to travel. I always try and take a flight that could possibly promise some sleep. But I get there and there’s something about the ocean that really restores you. If you jump in the water and soak in the sunlight for a right amount of time, the kids snap into gear. It’s actually the adults that have the most jet lag these days.”
