    KANSAS (KOAM) -- Kansas residents have until offices close on Tuesday, July 16 to register to vote in the primary election on August, 6.

    KANSAS (KOAM) -- The State of Kansas is reminding residents about important dates and information as we approach the primary election, August 6.

    Important Dates:

    • Last day to register to vote in Tuesday, July 16th.
    • Advance voting starts July 17. Advance ballots by mail are transmitted. In-person advance voting may begin. Check with your county election officer for specific times and locations.
    • Tuesday, July 30 is the last day to apply for an advance voting mail ballot.
    • Monday, August 5 is when in-person advance voting ends at 12:00 p.m.

    Voting Requirements:

    • Photo ID
      • Driver’s license or ID card issued by Kansas or another state
      • U.S. Passport
      • U.S. Military ID
      • ID card issued by a Native American tribe
      • Employee badge or ID issued by a government office
      • Student ID card from an accredited postsecondary education institution in Kansas
      • Concealed carry license issued by Kansas or another state
      • Public assistance ID card issued by a government office
