All the Rite Aid stores in Stark County will be closed by the end of September, according to local store management.
The store at 2220 Locust St. in Canal Fulton was included on the latest notice of closures that Rite Aid filed Friday in federal bankruptcy court. The pharmacy's last day will be July 23 and the store will permanently close Sept. 1, according to the store manager.
Rite Aid did not immediately respond to a message seeking information about the closures in Stark County and Ohio.

The pharmacy chain has closed more than 500 stores nationwide and, with the latest court filing, has officially closed or disclosed plans to close 14 stores in Stark County. Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October amid decreasing sales, billions of dollars in debt and lawsuits related to the pharmacy's role in the opioid epidemic.
People in various management roles from stores at 4042 Cleveland Ave. SE in Canton Township, 8619 Waynesburg Drive SE in Sandy Township, and 300 E. Lincoln Way in Minerva told The Canton Repository that those locations also will close. They have not yet been on a closure list submitted to the court.
The store staff, who declined to provide their names, shared the following dates:
- Canton Township's pharmacy will close July 25 and the store will close Sept. 1.
- Minerva's pharmacy will close Aug. 20 and the store will close Sept. 22.
- Sandy Township's Rite Aid will close sometime in September.

- 3720 Tuscarawas St. W in Canton
- 114 12th St. NE in Canton
- 227 Market Ave. N in Canton
- 304 E. State St. in Alliance
- 1895 W. State Street in Alliance
- 242 Lincoln Way W in Massillon
- 2110 Wales Ave. NE in Massillon
- 242 Lincoln Way W store in Perry Township
