Miranda Lambert Releases Beautiful Acoustic Performance Video Of “Dammit Randy”

Acoustic makes everything better. Miranda Lambert released a beautiful acoustic live performance video of her most recent song "Dammit Randy," and the extra twang provided by the lap steel just gives it even more punch. The song was written by Miranda along with her producer Jon Randall and husband, Brendan McLoughlin, which is pretty surprising to see. I’m not sure how much he had to do with writing the entire thing, but still, it’s interesting that he’s listed as a co-writer and some sort of input (which could mean just two words or even a whole sentence or verse, who knows). In terms of the sentiment, which finds Miranda demanding more from a relationship and finally working up the courage to find better, I think that sentiment is something every single one of us can relate to. We've all been in situations or circumstances where we're not getting what we deserve, and have probably questioned our own worth or value because of it. Of course, Miranda recently left her longtime label Sony for Republic Records, in addition to partnering with Big Loud, so I'm sure she pulled from some of those feelings to write this one, as well.
