    Planned power outage to affect parts of Summers and Monroe counties

    SUMMERS COUNTY/MONROE COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A planned power outage will occur for parts of Summers and Monroe counties towards the end of July 2024 due to facility upgrades.

    From 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, a power outage is scheduled that will affect around 1,190 customers in the Alderson, Ballengee, Forest Hill, Hinton, Pence Springs, Talcott, and Wayside areas of Summers and Monroe counties.

    Planned road closure to take place in Fayette County

    The outage will not affect the Downtown areas of Hinton or Alderson.

    Those who will be affected by the scheduled power outage will get an automated call to the phone number that is associated with their account.

    In case of inclement weather, the make-up day for the planned power outage will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024
