A lip reader has revealed what Kate Middleton said as she entered the stands at the Wimbledon final and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The Princess of Wales attended the event with her sister Pippa and daughter Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. As the trio took their seats in the royal box, Kate was met with a standing ovation from the entire stadium

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman spoke to The Sun after decoding Kate’s words to those around her . The expert claims the mother-of-three asked her daughter to 'come over here' as they approached their seats in the prestigious Royal Box.

The princess then said “thank you” to the woman who had ushered them to their seats. She waved and mouthed “hi” to spectators who had turned to face her, and then said “so sweet” to Deborah Jevans, former British tennis player and Wimbledon chairwoman who was standing nearby.

Kate was visibly touched by the public show of support, and looked out into the crowd with a smile.

Earlier this year, Kate made a public statement after she was missing from the public eye for months. She warded off speculation by coming clean about her cancer diagnosis, and her desire to keep it private for the sake of her children. In the statement, she mentioned she was making progress but still facing challenges, with "good days and bad days" during her ongoing treatment.

Freeman also revealed how the conversation played out between Kate and winner Carlos Alcaraz, as she presented the Wimbledon trophy to him. Kate reportedly said: “'This is Charlotte, (she was) cheering you on. You had everything crossed.”

She then added: “'We've watched a lot on telly, so it's great to finally get to meet you.”
