According to Football Insider's senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke , Emile Smith Rowe is set to leave Arsenal this summer, with Fulham initiating preliminary talks to enquire about a potential deal for the former England Under-21 international.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is prepared to offload some fringe players to generate funds for squad reinforcements. Smith Rowe has struggled for game time and slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates. Recent reports have suggested that the Gunners are open to "big offers" for the 23-year-old to boost their transfer budget.

Arsenal prepared to listen to bids for Emile Smith Rowe amid Fulham interest

Smith Rowe is a boyhood Arsenal fan who joined the club's academy at the age of 10 and progressed through their ranks to make his first-team debut in 2018. He enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under Arteta in the 2020/21 season, but injury problems have limited his game time over the past two seasons.

He made just three Premier League starts last season, with the last coming in April as Arsenal beat Luton 2-0. Arsenal are thought to be willing to sell Smith Rowe this summer and have reportedly made him available on the transfer market.

Crystal Palace were initially said to be interested in signing the midfielder, with Michael Olise joining Bayern Munich. However, it's Fulham who are stepping up their pursuit for Smith Rowe, although he is thought to be keen to stay put and fight for his place at the Emirates.

The 23-year-old reportedly arrived early for a mini training camp in Marbella, and is clearly keen to be prepared for the new campaign.
