Some places are much more pet-friendly than others, and it makes pet parents in those not-so-pet-friendly places envious as can be. I'm sure everyone would love to take their pets everywhere all the time, but most stores won't allow it.

For one lucky Dachshund on Tuesday, July 9th, she got to venture into her local IKEA. Not only that, she got to pick out a few things, and dare I say, her IKEA haul is one of the most impressive I've ever seen:

Chloe the Dachshund deserves that new friend of hers, and I'm honestly a little jealous. Do I drive the three hours to my nearest IKEA and get one...?

Chloe is just shy of a year old; her birthday is just two days after Christmas! She's spent the her entire 8 months of life being spoiled, because there's really no other way to treat such a pretty and sweet girl. She has many toys, but there's always room for more - especially when she gets to pick them out herself!

The toy Chloe picked out is not a dog toy: it's actually a JÄTTELIK, which is just a regular dinosaur plush. He comes in two sizes: 22 inches ($10) and 35 inches ($25). There are a few other dinosaurs, too, including a triceratops, a few T-rex options, and a stegosaurus. I didn't even have to Google any of those to confirm, I'm so good at knowing dinosaurs!

No one gave Chloe a hard time for being in IKEA, even though IKEA is technically not a pet-friendly establishment. You can often "get away with" bringing your pet into non-pet-friendly places, depending on who's working and if your pet is well-behaved. However, you should always use your best judgement before bringing your pet somewhere.

IKEA Has an Awesome Pet Collection

The JÄTTELIK is not a pet toy, which is why Chloe was able to tear through it in a short period of time. It's just a stuffed animal. It's made to stand there and be cute, not to be chewed on. It doesn't have reinforced seams and it's not made of reinforced fabric.

Even though the JÄTTELIK isn't made for dogs, IKEA launched their new UTSÅDD collection back in April, and those are specifically for pets. There are lots of things in the collection, including toys (none of them have squeakers ), beds, bowls, cat houses, and more. The collection is available in all stores, and if you call ahead and ask, you may even be able to bring your dog in to try some of it out!
