The National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco Bay Area has issued a Heat Advisory, which will remain in effect for inland portions of the Bay Area and the north Central Coast until 9 PM this evening. Despite the persistent heat inland, relative cooling is occurring due to cloud cover and a few isolated passing showers. High temperatures are expected to gradually return to normal mid-July levels, ranging from the mid-80s to 90s in far inland areas by early to mid-next week. Coastal areas and nearby valleys will experience cooler daytime temperatures due to maritime influence.
