    Maryland, Virginia State Police looking to win ‘Best Looking Cruiser’ contest

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — It’s that time of the year again, and Maryland and Virginia State troopers have entered the “Best Looking Cruiser” contest to show off their cruisers.

    The 11th annual “America’s Best-Looking Cruiser” contest features cool pictures of state trooper vehicles nationwide. To enter the competition, state agencies show off their creativity and snap a photo of their cruiser that captures what their state is about.

    Not backing down from the competition are the DMV’s Virginia State and Maryland State Police.

    Maryland State Police teamed up with the Pimlico Race Course and captured a moment on the raceway. Their picture features their black and gold cruiser parked next to a horse.

    Virginia State Police (VSP) is also vying for the top spot. VSP submitted a photo of their cruiser riding on the highway.

    The American Association of State Troopers said the 13 states with the most votes will make the 2025 wall calendar. The cruiser that claims the No. 1 spot will be featured on the cover.

    The contest will close on July 29 at noon and votes can be entered online .
