Henrico Recreation and Parks to host Christmas in July movie day July 25

The Henrico Division of Recreation and Parks will host its Christmas in July movie day Thursday, July 25 at the Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs and will be collecting items for the Henrico Christmas Mother throughout the day.

The division will show “Jingle All the Way” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and “Scrooged” at 7 p.m. Admission for each showing is $1 per person, and various concessions also will be available for purchase for $1 apiece.

Organizers hope that attendees also will help the Christmas Mother program “stock the warehouse” by bringing items such as diapers, diaper wipes, full-size toothbrushes, full-size toothpaste, socks of all sizes, new books, adult puzzle books, board books for children under two or middle/high school level books about sports.

The Henrico Christmas Mother is a non-profit organization that helps qualifying families in Henrico County with children, seniors over the age of 65 and disabled adults receive gifts and necessities during the holiday season.
