Jon Jones is in some hot water following his latest charges involving a drug testing agent.

UFC’s No. 3 pound-for-pound fighter was charged with two misdemeanors on Monday, according to MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin .

The charges stem from a drug-testing agent attempting to collect a sample from Jones’ house on March 30.

Martinez also suggested that Jones may have been under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

Martin added that, if found guilty of both charges, Jones could be sentenced to less than a year in jail and $1,500 in fines.

Jones has had a slew of issues pertaining to drug tests in the past.

The heavyweight champion was suspended twice for banned substances in 2016 and 2017.

The 36-year-old Jones has also faced several troubling run-ins with law enforcement throughout his illustrious career.

In September 2021, Jones was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident with his fiance, followed by attempts to fight police officers.

Prior to that, in March 2020, Jones pleaded guilty to a DWI charge and was charged with possession of an open container, driving without proof of insurance, and negligent use of a firearm, although the latter three were ultimately dropped.

Other legal problems from Jones have included battery charges at a strip club in 2019, a hit-and-run in 2015, and DUI charges in 2012.

Due to recovering from a torn pectoral tendon , Jones has not fought since March 2023, although he was lined up to oppose Stipe Miocic from Madison Square Garden in October 2023 at UFC 295.

During Jones’ prolonged absence, UFC president Dana White has continued to sing his praises, referring to him as the sport’s No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter as long as he’s on the rolodex of fighters.

In lieu of Jones, current interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall will defend the belt against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 on July 27.

Possible next fights for Jones — whose timetable for return remains unknown — could include Aspinall or current light heavyweight champion and world No. 2 pound-for-pound Alex Pereira.
