Two people were killed, and one person was injured in a fiery wreck on an Alabama highway Monday morning.

News 19 in Huntsville reports that multiple fire and rescue crews responded to a wreck on 3921 Winchester Road around 8:47 a.m.

Officials confirmed the two deaths and one injury. People involved in the wreck were reportedly trapped after a fire broke out after the wreck.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said all lanes of Winchester Road near Maysville Road were blocked for a few hours, but the roadway was back open shortly after 11 a.m.

The wreck is currently under investigation.

My God. This is heartbreaking. A couple years ago I was hit by an 18 wheeler on the interstate and couldn’t move. Thought I was paralyzed as I had to wait to get cut out of the truck by the ‘jaws of life.’ The truck was still running and the whole time I thought it would catch fire. I was begging the people who stopped to get me out but there was nothing they could do. Lord my heart goes out to these people. 😢
