Loving Boxers Getting 'Daily Bonks' With Paper Towel Roll Make the Funniest Noises

If there's one thing Boxers are famous for, it's their big blocky heads. If you've never been struck by an excited Boxer's incredibly square noggin, you're missing out - it's fun, and the bruise on your body is totally worth it.

One woman showed off her pair of Boxers' quirky habits, and the internet is going wild over it. On Thursday, July 11th, she showed off their daily bonks, and everyone and their mama had something to say about it:

Andrea Torres went viral because of her two male Boxers, but she also has a third. She's in heat, so she's being kept away from her brothers, but she gets her bonks in too!

Flex and Kaido's bonking tradition started the first time their mom realized that she had an empty paper towel roll and three dogs with heads that would make a funny noise. She took it off the roller and went "bonk" on their heads, and ever since then, she does it every time. After the bonks, one of the dogs typically steals the roll and runs off with it.

Most of the comments are positive: the dogs are not being harmed by the bonking in any way. They are used to the bonks. They get a new toy out of it every time. There is nothing amiss here, though some people do say that she shouldn't be doing it, that it could be sending the wrong message to the dogs. However, look at their body language; they're not upset at all, nor are they anxious.

Punishment vs. Play: What's Too Far?

Hitting your dog is not a proper method of training; it has been proven over and over. Hitting does not work to curb bad habits or teach "discipline." All it teaches is fear and subsequent aggression, which will only make everything worse.

However, dogs do love to play rough, and they do tend to enjoy "rough" pets sometimes, too. We shouldn't encourage them to play rough with us; avoid using your hands as a play tool or encouraging any type of play that requires jumping, clawing, or biting another dog or a human. It may start friendly at first, but it could transition into something serious too quickly to stop.

When you're playing with a dog, you can comfortably give them a tough pat, bonk them on the nose lightly with their toys, and, yes, bonk 'em with a paper towel roll. They won't mind, especially in you let them have the roll after to tear up!
