Charges filed after woman shot with two-barrel handgun

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An altercation between two women last month led one of the women to shoot the other the following day, St. Louis County police said.

According to Vera Clay, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting happened on June 30 in the 11600 block of West Florissant Avenue.

Clay said police spoke with the victim at the hospital. The victim said Eboni Robinson, 43, shot her outside Robinson’s home.

The victim told police she’d had an altercation with Robinson and that Robinson drove to her home the following day. Robinson parked in the 11600 block of West Florissant behind the victim’s home.

Police said when the victim noticed Robinson parked behind her home, the victim threw a can of corn at the vehicle. Robinson, who was still in the vehicle, pulled out a double barrel handgun and shot the victim.

The victim required surgery for injuries to her breast, lungs, spleen, liver, and stomach.

Witnesses described the vehicle used in the shooting, a blue Nissan Altima, which matched Robinson’s car.

Robinson was taken into custody.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Robinson with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action. Robinson remains jailed on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
