SALINE COUNTY, Ark. – Highway construction in Saline County will lead to overnight interchange closures Tuesday by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

ARDOT announced Monday that the Interstate 30 East ramp to Highway 70 and the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 East will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, weather permitting.

A demolition project will cause additional detours. Officials said work crews will be demolishing the I-30 westbound bridge, which will require full ramp closures and signed detours.

    • Those traveling I-30 east to Highway 70 will need to take Exit 114 to return to I-30 West via the underpass, then take Exit 111 to get on Highway 70.
    • Travelers on Highway 70 to the I-30 East detour will need to take the ramp to I-30 West to Exit 106 and then return to I-30 East using the overpass.

ARDOT representatives cautioned that throughout the construction drivers should watch for slowing traffic, with occasional loud noises during the overnight hours as I-30 is widened to three lanes in each direction.
