COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — NBC’s new fall prime-time season will kick off in mid-September on NBC4.

In a news release, NBC announced the premiere dates for its upcoming lineup, which features returning favorites, new comedies, and a fresh medical drama series.

The season will begin on Monday, Sept. 23 with the return of “The Voice.” First-time coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé will join returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.

The brand new scripted drama, “Brilliant Minds,” led by Zachary Quinto will have its premiere that Monday as well. The series is inspired by world-famous author and physician Oliver Sacks’ life and work, NBC noted. The broadcaster’s show description reads “‘Brilliant Minds’ follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.”

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, NBC will air the season finale of “America’s Got Talent.” Then on Wednesday, Sept. 24, NBC’s “Chicago Wednesday” will return with new episodes of “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” airing at 8, 9 and 10 p.m., respectively.

An awards special will also be part of premiere week this year with the live airing of the second annual People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The following week on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the sophomore drama series “The Irrational,” starring Jesse L. Martin, will debut at 10 p.m., after “The Voice.”
