“Ordered after viewing the reviews and people using it. Very practical. Very easy to use. Easy to clean. I have already learned how to make different kinds of recipes, other than the typical “breakfast sandwich.” I have been able to make small-like omelets, I have added onions, ham, pepperoni, chopped bell peppers, and other items. “ My husband hates single use appliances and kitchen gadgets and is the cook in our family. However, he also has trouble staying full after breakfast. I decided to take a chance and get him one of these and told him we didn’t have to keep it if it didn’t end up working out. He can’t stop raving about it. “ This sandwich maker was very well reviewed, but I thought some of the reviewers who said they used it several times a week were a little over the top. Nope. We use it two or three times a week...and it would be more often if we weren’t concerned about cholesterol. From breakfast (or lunch) sandwiches, to frittatas, to “poached” eggs, this little machine does its job beautifully. I don’t care for the bread cooked with the eggs, so i just lightly toast the English muffins separately when using them for sandwiches. (Although our very favorite bread for breakfast sandwiches is Sister Schubert’s dinner rolls.) The directions to poke the yolk with a toothpick seemed strange, and I was concerned that the yolks would run all over the place, but they stay intact without any sign you’ve punctured them. This machine is excellent for a quick, simple version of either “fried” or “poached” eggs. The eggs cook in about three minutes (the same for sandwiches), with fluffy whites fully cooked and runny yolks. Instead of using sliced cheese for sandwiches, I add a tablespoon or so of a good sharp shredded cheddar to the lightly whisked egg...less messy and tastier than a cheese slice. B asically, you can’t go wrong with this easy-to-clean little machine, which appears very well made. “ I bought this because it looked easy enough that my early-rising 11 year old might be able to self-service breakfast on Saturdays and let mommy sleep in every now and then. 😂 It worked! Furthermore, both my kids love the sandwiches this thing turns out so much that we use it on most school days too. For bread, the pre-made small pancakes in the freezer section are perfect (thaw first). Same with frozen pre-cooked sausage patties. Or, mix it up with 3 thin slices of deli ham or turkey. If you are trying to cut back on carbs, a mini chaffle works great, or slices of low carb bread (just quickly trim off the corners to make a hexagon). Through much trial and error, we have determined less cheese is better (think 1/2 of a slice per sandwich). Also, once you put that bottom slice of bread in, be ready and move fast so the egg has time to cook before the bottom bread scorched. Love this thing. Well worth the counter space. ” — Danielle
