It takes little time for children to bond with their pets. Their pure hearts instantly see the goodness within each other. For children, their animals are often their first friends, and they become besties for a lifetime.

Despite her tender age, this tiny toddler possesses a wisdom that many adults strive for. She has the ability to make her new big dog feel right at home, a gift that some humans never fully develop. Her compassion at such a young age is not just beautiful but also inspiring and hopeful to witness.

Watch her work her magic in this video from July 9:

It’s heartwarming to see a young child demonstrating such kindness and compassion in a world that sometimes lacks it. Flavia (@ my.dearest.tribe ) reports that on their newly rescued Great Danes ’ first night home, he was uninterested in eating. Without being asked or prompted, her tiny toddler, Penelope, knew just what to do. She went over to Teddy’s bowl, took a piece of kibble, and began feeding him one piece at a time. His tail wagged with excitement at each piece she brought over, and she was equally delighted to see him filled with joy, with her smile that lights up the room! No matter what this little sweetheart decides to be when she grows up, she will do it with love and kindness. Her parents should be so very proud.

How Dogs Can Benefit Young Children

Dogs can profoundly affect young children’s emotional development. They help children learn empathy, responsibility, and communication. Research even suggests that children who grow up with dogs have a more robust immune system. As a child’s first friend, dogs can also help combat loneliness and contribute to their overall well-being and happiness. Kids who grow up with dogs are also less prone to obesity-related diseases, as they tend to be more physically active.

This sweet pair touched people. Viewer @cliffordshepard joked, “Yeah, what did you think would happen if you sent your best server to that tough table?” Ha! She knew how to make this customer happy! One person remarked, “He’s like -The food service here is wonderful. The staff are tiny, cute, and very friendly. Definitely a good place to have a bite.” That sounds like it would be his review. Another person responded, “A sweet baby taking care of another sweet baby. He took that food from her ever so delicately.” No doubt, they are a perfect match!

Kindness is always free to give away. It’s a lesson children are born understanding, and we should all strive to practice it daily.
