    Over 242 pounds of suspected cocaine seized in Oldham County traffic stop

    VEGA, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that more than 242 pounds of suspected cocaine were found following a traffic stop in Oldham County on Saturday.

    According to DPS, Troopers stopped a vehicle driving east on I-40 near Vega for an alleged traffic violation on July 13. Troopers said they found three large duffel bags containing 100 plastic-wrapped bricks of suspected cocaine in the vehicle’s cargo area.

    DPS said the driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail for “possession of a controlled substance.”

    The drugs were alleged to being transported from Las Vegas to Boston.
