Motherhood can be tough, especially when you're outnumbered by three little babies. New mama Honey the Maine Coon is definitely feeling the overwhelm these days as one of her offspring decides to do things her own way.

In a July 14 TikTok video posted by @wildemane_mainecoons , an exhausted Honey tries and fails to get her "spirited" kitten to follow orders. Any parent will nod their head in agreement after watching this video!

"Only 3 weeks old and already causing trouble," the caption reads. The video, which says, "POV: You're a new mom and your kittens have been testing your patience," shows Honey cleaning baby Kanga, the wild child of the trio of kittens, who's not that interested in being still. The determined kitten manages to get away multiple times despite Honey's attempts to groom the baby.

Kanga thinks this is all a fun game, triggering Honey's frustrated "bunny kicks" to get her in line. Though, Kanga isn't fazed and returns the favor with her own bunny kicks, sending Mom into a silent rage! What was supposed to be a calm, gentle bath time becomes all-out roughhousing!

Finally, sweet Honey cries to her human mom for help. Only then do all three babies settle down for a little milk treat. Whew! We feel for Honey —this is exhausting to watch! Many of the crew's loyal followers feel the same.

"As a parent, I felt this video in my soul," one person wrote. "Glad to know other species also deal with this," another joked. "I’d like to know if this is the second child in the litter," one person wondered to which Honey's mom replied, "She’s the last born. Born breech and has been giving her mom grief since that moment!"

What Age Do Kittens Settle Down?

Kittens are known for being irresistibly adorable, but they also have tons of energy. Kanga is one Maine Coon kitten who's definitely showing her birth order personality as she tests mama Honey's patience! Some behaviors in kittens include scratching, pouncing, jumping, and playing, which they instinctually do to mark their territory.

Union Lake Veterinary Hospital and Vet Services explains kittens calm down around 4-9 months. Offering scratching posts and interactive toys help curb their destructive or an wild or unsavory behaviors. They grow out of their "toddler" months around four months and officially become "teenagers," sleeping more and playing a little less. By 9-14 months, they're considered full-grown cats. So, while Honey still has awhile with her young brood, better days are ahead, Mama (eventually)!
