There's a friendship in The Bold and the Beautiful that fans were quite confused about.
In Monday's episode, the show followed the aftermath of Hollis' death at Il Giardino (Deacon's restaurant) which was were he worked. The waiter was found dead by Sheila and Deacon, and the news of his demise has made the rounds. An emotional Luna told her mom that "her friend Hollis is gone" and she's never going to see him again. She also mentioned that she saw him the other night as they were laughing and joking around. It was then that fans had questions about that friendship.
Many fans on X formerly Twitter were scratching their head at that, as they couldn't "recall' the two ever interacting. Some just didn't think they had enough scenes to be considered friends especially in comparison to Deacon.

One fan wrote: "Luna was friends with Hollis? Did anyone know this?" A second fan said: "Luna grieving for Hollis after knowing him for all of 5 mins…Please get back to Hollis’ ACTUAL friend, Deacon!!" Another exclaimed:Wait Luna & Hollis were friends??? I don't recall them sharing any scenes together. Did I miss something?? A fan responded to their tweet reminding them that the two had a scene together: "Yes, Luna and Hollis had a scene together last week and discussed being friends! You must have missed it."
As Luna mourned her friend (debatable by the fans) on the show, the manner of his death and where he was found has made many of the character such as Steffy and Ridge wary. They began to speculated that something untoward has happened and that he was harmed. Li by the end of the episode all but confirmed that with the results of the toxicology report showing that he was drugged.
This was the second murder in the past few episodes as Tom Starr was recently killed and also found at Il Giardino. Tom was first introduced in the show as a homeless man and he helped Deacon and Finn find Sheila with his eye-witness account. In an unexpected twist, it was revealed previously that he was Luna's biological dad instead of Bill.
Deacon tried to help Tom and asked Tom to work at his restaurant. Hollis was suspicious over the circumstance behind Tom's death which was said to be a drug overdose. Before Hollis' death, he found various letters in Tom’s backpack at the restaurant’s storage room. He tried to discuss them with Sheila and she told him it wasn't right to go through Tom's things and to throw his bag away.
Then as Hollis was in the restaurant when the power went out, someone entered that he recognized but unknown to the audience as the figure was not showed. He seemed glad to see the person and mentioned he needed to talk to someone about Tom's letters.
