    Aug. 15 deadline for Calhoun County residents to apply for FEMA help

    AUSTIN, Texas - Calhoun County residents who suffered losses from storms in May have one month left to apply for federal assistance.

    The deadline is August 15.

    FEMA has provided over $176 million to Texas households.

    Calhoun County residents can go online to disasterassistance.gov and download the FEMA app for mobile devices.

    They can call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 between 6 A.M. and 10 P.M.

    August 15 also is the deadline for submitting disaster loan applications to the Small Business Adminstration at sba.gov/disaster or by calling 800-659-2955.
