ILLINOIS (WCIA) — As Central Illinois braces for the possibility of severe weather Monday night, a NOAA weather radio station is currently offline in certain locations.

The WXK-24 Odell station, covering parts of Livingston, Ford and Iroquois Counties, is not on-air as of 4 p.m. The status was first announced just before 3 p.m.

Officials with the National Weather Service say the station is off-air due to a telecommunications issue. However, technicians are working to restore the service.
