EXCLUSIVE: Orion has acquired If I Had Your Face , the 2023 Black List horror script written by Ran Ran Wang.

Concordia Studio Announces Filmmaker Fellows For 2024

The official synopsis is under wraps, but according to producers the film is in the vein of Jordan Peele’s 2017 Oscar-winning horror debut, Get Out .

Here’s the Black List synopsis:

When Jo’s best friend, Rina starts dating a white man, she begins transforming into something different: a white woman. Through it all, Jo can’t seem to convince anyone that there is cause for concern. But when three unidentifiable white women turn up dead, Jo realizes that they had all been Asian women who dated the same man, and now that he has Rina in his sights, it’s up to Jo to save her before she becomes his next victim.

The film is being produced by Jonathan King, and Ash Sarohia for Concordia Studio, along with Sukee Chew for Hopscotch Pictures. Creative executive John Lin brought the spec into Concordia studios, and Orion creative executive Priyanka Kapoor will oversee the project for the studio.

Wang is a current Rideback Rise Resident who has worked as a book scout for Paramount Pictures and Netflix. Upon landing her screenplay on the Black List and then setting it up at Orion, she left the corporate world and just wrapped production on her short film, Recollectors , which she co-wrote and directed.
