Andy Cohen is a massive fan of Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18. There’s drama, romance, plot twists, blended families, returning faces, and back-stabbing, with sides of wealth, wit, traveling, and glam. It’s a must-watch series right now, and if you ask Andy, he’d even tell you that RHOC Season 18 is “the ultimate soap opera” to watch. In my opinion, so far, Andy’s right.

    As the hourglass turns …

On SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live , Andy and John Hill, Andy’s cohost, discussed the premiere episode of RHOC Season 18. Shannon Beador and Alexis Bellino came up, naturally, because Alexis is now dating John Janssen, Shannon’s ex.

Listen, here’s the thing. I love soap operas, and this is the ultimate soap opera that has been going on for years and years and years, and you now have someone who was on the show ten years ago who is now sleeping with Shannon’s ex …” Andy trailed off, because the drama is already at a ten, and really, there are no words.

As for Alexis’ return as a John-stan, Andy says “That is a shocking turn of events, and it is one that is befitting a soap opera.” John agreed. On the premiere episode, John said “I loved it and I love seeing Tamra [Judge] . I think it was perfect.”

But then, Andy further revealed that he “got a text” from his “friend Eric Hughes.” Eric “was with Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson” on the night of RHOC’s premiere. They “all watched the premiere” together.

My invite was where now? So nasty and so rude.

Even still, Andy loved hearing this news. He made Eric retell his statement, asking “Wait. You’re telling me that Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson saw that?” His friend Eric answered “Yes and we were explaining everything to them, and they just couldn’t believe all the backstory.”

“That is like a Fellini movie in itself,” Andy ended. And now, I’m reading up on the late Fellini’s works. Because if they are anything like RHOC Season 18, I’m in.

Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

TELL US – DO YOU AGREE WITH ANDY’S TAKE? IS RHOC SEASON 18 LIKE A SOAP OPERA?
