    76-year-old man injured in single-vehicle crash in Sioux County

    SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa (KCAU) — A 76-year-old man had to be transported by helicopter after being injured in a single-vehicle crash in Sioux County Monday.

    According to the Iowa State Patrol , the incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. about 6 miles west of Sioux Center. The driver, who is from Hawarden, was driving a 2013 Ford F150 west on 390th Street.

    The truck crossed over the center line and went off the road into a ditch where it stopped, according to officials. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, though the airbag did deploy.

    The driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Sioux Falls. Officials did not say how severe his injuries were.
