    Employee in Lancaster County charged for using company card to buy personal items; police

    LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — An employee for a company in Lancaster County that helps those with disabilities is facing charges after police say they racked up thousands of dollars worth of personal purchases on the company credit card.

    According to Northern Lancaster County Regional Police, Kim Vandersluys, 30, of Red Lion, is accused of making unauthorized purchases on the company card.

    Vandersluys was an employee of Faithful Homes, a disability service provider located in Manheim, according to police.

    Police were notified about the theft on June 20 and spoke with management level officials at Faithful Homes, who reported an employee was making unauthorized purchases on the card.

    In total, there were $8,028.48 worth of items bought. Police say Vandersluys used the card to buy food, health care and jewelry items.

    Vandersluys was arrested on Thursday, June 11 and faces a charge of access device fraud.

    A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6.
