    Ingrid Andress National Anthem: Home Run Derby singer reminds many of Roseanne Barr during Star Spangled Banner

    The Star Spangled Banner kicks off each sporting event in the United States, sometimes eliciting tears and raw emotions.

    Sometimes it does the opposite, forcing players and fans to hold back laughter at the disastrous rendition of the nation's anthem. The latter was true Monday night at the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby.

    Ingrid Andress, a Grammy-nominated country singer, struggled singing the Star Spangled Banner at the derby. Her rendition went viral with fans roasting the performance on social media.

    Andress had trouble singing the Star Spangled Banner and received flak on social media as well as a few jeers from the crowd in real time.

    Andress is a 32-year-old American artist who's most popular song is "More Hearts Than Mine," which peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.

    Most of the reactions came on social media, and they weren't supporting Andress. People posted pictures of Klay Thompson's ear bleeding.

    Fans even mentioned Fergie, who infamously struggled with her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the 2018 NBA All-Star game.
