Dolores Catania was close with both Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga for many years before joining the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey in Season 7. The mother of two was a true native of Paterson through and through. And quickly became known as the muscle of New Jersey. She opened up about her divorce from Frank Catania . And his infidelity, which carved her a special spot in fans’ hearts. Even though their marriage ended, she made sure to keep a strong friendship which spoke volumes about our Dolo.

We thought she had found her happily ever after in David Principe . But after being gifted a Porsche and not a diamond ring, fans knew their relationship was doomed. The former jail warden has always been good at living an independent life. But fans wanted her to find her prince. Finally, an Irish bloke named Paul Connell entered her life, but after a hot mic moment, followers were left worried.

I am always rooting for Dolores, but after a recent hot mic moment was revealed, I am a bit worried. In an interview with Us Weekly, Dolores grew uncomfortable after being questioned about her future with Paul. The mother of two has already chut her friends down when asked in the newest season of RHONJ. The host asked, “How are things with Paulie? Doing good?” Dolores seemed extremely nonchalant, answering, “Good. Yeah, yeah.” The host went on to note that she didn’t seem thrilled, to which Dolo replied, “I don’t get excited over men.”

However, it was obvious that Dolores’ body language changed. As the host moved on to the next topic, Dolores wised up that her answers may not have been the best. The dog lover asked, “Wait, you’re filming right now? Okay, cut that part. I thought we were just talking.” The weirdest part happened to be when she was asked the question all over again. This time, Dolores replied in a positive, upbeat voice, “Good! Really good.” The whole interaction was odd.

Fans of the Real Housewives of New Jersey took to the comment section immediately to share their thoughts. One wrote, “‘I don’t get excited over men.’ – Dolores, a true Queen.” However, some didn’t have the same jovial response. Another fan noted, “Look at her posture. She’s not comfortable at all.” It was pretty clear that Dolores wasn’t thrilled with her first, most likely, truthful answer as she tried to come across as happier the second time around.

One insightful follower wrote, “I do NOT like Paulie for Dolores at all. His shirts are two sizes too small to show off his “muscles” and look tough, his red face, and very bad temper, it seems. Dolores is a really nice woman and deserves SO much better! Plus, something’s up with him not getting divorced. I don’t trust him. At all. Just like Luis.”

Paul Connell isn’t divorced…

The biggest red flag for followers is that Paul has yet to sign on the dotted line when it comes to his divorce. Paul told the Bravo cameras “I am not divorced yet, but obviously, I have been separated for many years. A document to finalize the past or set the present is not preventing myself and Dolores from planning our future together in any way or form.” But fans aren’t buying what he is selling even if Dolores pretends to be okay with it.

During an interview with Us Weekly , Dolores noted, “Unless I wanted to really get married, I’m not pushing him to do things to force this. But in all fairness, for us to be in the relationship we are, he should not be married, and, yeah, I expect a divorce.” It is starting to feel like Dolo might have had a Freudian slip when she seemed unmoved by her relationship with Paulie. For her sake, I hope she gets the ring she claims she doesn’t worry about, but if not, she needs to cut her losses and run.
