Hollyoaks spoilers: Tony Hutchinson has a big surprise for Diane!

Tony Hutchsinon (Nick Pickard) is determined to make his wife’s birthday special in tonight’s Hollyoaks on at 7pm (See our TV Guide for full listings).

The loving landlord arranges a surprise party for Diane (Alex Fletcher) at The Dog and calls round her friends and family to be there.

However, things don’t go quite as planned when it’s clear Diane is very hungover on her special day!

Viewers have seen her knocking back quite a lot of booze recently as she’s struggled with the emotional turmoil of her transgender child, Ro (Ava Webster) who wants to transition to become a boy.

When Diane, who has started drinking early in the day, walks in to see the secret celebration that Tony has organised for her she reacts badly and immediately upsets her family.

Ro is gutted and Diane immediately feels terrible about herself for letting everyone down with her reaction.

Elsewhere, Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor-Dawson) is angry with his daughter Frankie (Isabelle Smith) after her furious outburst at her twin brother, JJ (Ryan Mulvey).

Darren has no idea that manipulative JJ has been abusing Frankie and has threatened her to keep quiet about her accident that she has wrongly blamed Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) for.

Meanwhile Frankie is upbeat with the school summer holidays just around the corner.

She can’t wait to get away from Hollyoaks and all her ongoing troubles and is planning to stay with Hannah Ashworth (Emma Rigby).

However, is something about to force her to change her plans?

Plus, Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), who was recently shot at by a masked assassin,  is super-jittery after noticing that someone has been into the flat that he shares with his mother, Norma Crow (Glynis Barber).

A jumpy Warren  fears for his life.

Meanwhile, Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) follows Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) as she is worried that Mercy is secretly sloping off to see Warren who the McQueens all hate ever since realising he was responsible for killing Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) by supplying dodgy drugs.

At the garage, Mercedes and Warren hang out while Frankie later goes to visit her uncle, Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) in hospital.

Freddie has been left in a coma following a brutal attack.

Is he showing any signs of making a recovery?
