Storm damage in Lackawanna County

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Close to 25 thousand people are without power in Lackawanna County Monday night.

The Electric City is really living up to its name because as you can see behind me, the lights are on, but this is not the case for more than twenty-two thousand people in Lackawanna County.

Take a look at this video, you can see the streets are dark, stop lights are completely out. Drivers should be mindful if you are passing through here tonight.

Parts of roofs completely ripped off like the one pictured here at general dynamics in scranton from a swift but fierce storm that moved through the area earlier this evening.

PPL ranges that power across the area will be restored sometime between Monday night and Tuesday afternoon.
