Her novel Marriage of the Di Daughter was the inspiration behind the widely popular costume Chinese drama The Double . The drama, featuring Wu Jinyan and Wang Xingyue , is now one of the highest-grossing Chinese dramas that premiered in 2024. It took the Chinese drama world by storm and crossed several milestones.

This thriller Chinese drama tells the story of Xue Fang Fei (Wu Jinyan), who was born into a scholarly and prestigious family. But her marriage brings her bad luck as she falls prey to conspiracies. Manipulated by the eldest princess and his family, her husband, who she loved so dearly, frames her for being an adulterer and attempts to murder her. This upcoming Tencent Video series is based on Qian Shan Cha Ke’s web novel Rebirth of a Star General . It will feature Zhou Ye and Ryan Cheng in the lead roles. Legend of the Female General will narrate the story of a female general with a strong demeanor. She has a gentle appearance but an uncrushable spirit. Meanwhile, there exists a male general who is cold and distant. But he is a legendary martial artist. As the two cross paths, they join hands to eradicate external forces. Shoulder to shoulder, they combat evil and help the weak.

The Glory

This upcoming drama is also a production of Tencent Video. It is adapted from Cha Ke’s The Reborn Noble Girl Is Hard to Find . The official trailer follows the story of Zhuang Han Yan (Chen Duling ), who was abandoned in her childhood and grew up in the countryside. After she returns to the capital, she attracts the attention of Fu Yun Xi (Xin Yunlai) , who is a victim of a peculiar disease.

He wishes to marry a woman of both virtue and talent to entrust his family. He chooses Han Yan because of her beauty and kind heart. The duo falls in love, and Han Yan reconciles with her mother and rediscovers her lost family bond. He also helps her expose the unjust actions of the Zhuang family and break ties with them.

The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage

It is an adaptation of the author’s popular novel of the same name. The drama was announced by Haotian Media as part of their 2021 lineup. Deng Wei will reportedly appear as the male lead in the drama.

It follows the story of Shen Miao, the daughter of a military family who foolishly throws away her honor to marry Prince Ding. After six years of marriage, she becomes the Empress, accompanies her husband to war, and volunteers to become a hostage in another country for peace.

From this onward, she faces several setbacks. When she returns five years later, she is heartbroken to see that she has been replaced by another woman.
