    State police arrest three after shots fired during dispute at Lock 12 in southern York Co.

    Pennsylvania State Police arrested three people after shots rang out Saturday evening during an altercation at Lock 12 in southern York County, according to a news release.

    Roman Cole, 18, and Colby Clark, 18, both of the Brogue area, and a 17-year-old boy were detained by state police, the release states.

    Troopers from Lancaster and York responded around 7:58 p.m. Saturday to Lock 12 at the intersection of Holtwood and River roads in Lower Chanceford Township, the release states.

    They spoke with witnesses at the scene and complainants over the phone, and they determined that an altercation took place between the three individuals and another group of people, the release states.

    State police allege Cole and Clark brandished handguns, and Cole fired multiple rounds, the release states. No one was injured.

    Troopers recovered the handgun Clark was holding and found that it has an obliterated serial number, the release states.

    State police charged Clark with possession of a firearm with a manufacturer number altered, carrying a loaded weapon and simple assault.

    Cole was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, tampering with/fabricating physical evidence, recklessly endangering another person and carrying a loaded weapon.

    State police say the investigation is ongoing.
