YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A 16-year-old boy was booked into the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center early Tuesday after a chase that started on the North Side.

A news release from Chief of Detectives Capt. Jason Simon said the teen was the driver of a Mercedes that police tried to pull over at about 1:50 a.m. that had been reported stolen.

The teen failed to stop and led police on a chase into Hubbard that ended when the car crashed into the porch of a house on East Park Avenue.

    No injuries were reported.

The teen was booked into the JJC on charges of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

There were three other people in the car. It is not clear if any charges were filed against them.

The release said detectives will try and determine if the Mercedes was used in any other crimes, which Simon said is routine
