MANCHESTER UNITED fans slammed their own club for posting a bizarre video of Marcus Rashford during a pre-season friendly defeat to Rosenborg.

Erik ten Hag ‘s men kicked their summer off in disappointing fashion as Noah Emmanuel Jean Holm scored a 93rd-minute winner to hand Rosenborg a 1-0 victory in Norway .

Man Utd supporters pinpointed keeper Radek Vitek as a positive to take from the game.

But the Red Devils’ social media account chose to post a moment involving Rashford that left fans baffled.

The clip showsed the English forward knocking it beyond a Rosenborg player, before a slide tackle from a defender puts the ball out of play.

Alongside the video, Man Utd said: “Nicely done, @MarcusRashford
    .”

Reacting to the clip and comment, one fan said: “There is nothing here.”

While another added: “Please delete this you are embarrassing him.”

A third replied: “He has gone past one player and lost the ball. The standards have never been lower at the football club as they currently are. Sad to see.”

A fourth responded: “What’s admin seeing that I’m not? Basic skill that’s expected from a professional footballer?”

And a fifth said: “Nicely done for what exactly????”

Rashford struggled at Man Utd last season, scoring eight goals and assisting five in 43 games.

His disappointing campaign saw him left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024 .

But he will be hoping to bounce back as he looks to replicate his 2022/23 season when he registered 40 goal contributions in 53 matches, including 30 goals.
