After a muggy start to Wednesday we’ll sit partly to mostly cloudy into the afternoon. Highs will once again quickly climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s as a cold front nears. This front will bring showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and early evening. Time line looks to be 12 PM through 7 PM. Majority of our area sits under a slight risk (2/5) for severe weather. Main threats will be damaging winds, and flooding downpours but an isolated tornado is possible. Overnight, we sit mostly cloudy with a few showers as lows sit in the upper 60s.

Blazing heat with feels-like temperatures approaching 110° weren’t quite enough for mother nature, so she decided to throw in the chance for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday as well. A cold front will push through both Tuesday and Wednesday, with opportunities for intense thunderstorms each days. Already today (Monday), there have been damaging storms in Northeast PA, and this is only the start as the front gradually works south.
