The K-pop rookie group LimeLight changed its name to Madein before welcoming two Kep1er stars as new members. The 143 Entertainment group has also explained its new name, which will have five members in the upcoming months.

Apart from the name change from Limelight to Madein, fans also focus on Kep1er members Mashiro and Yeseo, who will join the rookie K-pop group and re-debut. Recent Korean media reports have shared an estimated timeline for the duo’s joining the new K-pop group, Madein.

Who are K-pop group Madein (LimeLight) members? Age & name

Madein (previously known as LimeLight) will have five members. Currently, the group has three members: MiU, Suhye, and Gaeun. The group released their debut mini-album, Love & Happiness, as a K-pop trio on February 17, 2023. Let’s look at the members’ profiles before the group becomes the home of five idols.

The current trio of Madein are all talented vocalists, so fans assume that with the inclusion of Yeseo and Mashiro, the act will showcase their vocal strength further through new releases. To focus more on the group’s new talent, agency 143 has changed its name and given it a new dimension that fans can relate to.

    MiU

    (Birthday: January 9, 2003)

Ito Miyu, aka MiU, joined 143 Entertainment’s group Madein as the official visual. The 21-year-old Japanese member previously participated in Mnet’s reality show Girls Planet 999. After getting eliminated from the show in the first round, the rookie joined 143 Entertainment in 2021. She made it to the debut lineup of Limelight in 2022.

    Suhye

    (Birthday: December 13, 2004)

Kim Suhye, aka Suhye, is a former My Teenage Girl participant who joined Limelight as the main vocalist. The 19-year-old Korean rookie joined 143 Entertainment in 2022 after being eliminated from the MBC show in episode 8. Besides music, Suhye has a keen interest in filmmaking. She graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School as a student in the filmmaking department.

    Gaeun

    (Birthday: November 8, 2005)

Oh Ga-Eun, aka Gaeun, is currently the maknae (youngest member) of Madein. The 18-year-old rookie joined 143 Entertainment in the same year as MiU. She is dubbed the all-rounder of Madein, as she occupies multiple positions, including main dancer, lead vocalist, and rapper.

Gaeun had no experience with reality shows, but she was introduced as the first Limelight member in 2022. After Mashiro and Yeseo join the group, Gaeun will find another 2005 liner, as Yeseo is the same age as her.

    Mashiro

    (Birthday: December 16, 1999)

Girls Planet 999 winning lineup member Mashiro will become the oldest member of Madein after she joins the group. The former JYP Entertainment trainee has long been exposed to the Korean entertainment industry since she joined the label in 2016.

After two years with TWICE’s label JYP, Mashiro left the agency and joined Mnet’s Girls’ Planet 999 in 2021. The 24-year-old K-pop star will leave her current group, Kep1er, as her initial contract with WakeOne ends in 2024.

    Yeseo

    (Birthday: August 22, 2005)

Once she joins the group, Kang Yeseo will be the second-youngest member. Madein’s official Instagram page already follows Mashiro and Yeseo, which suggests that the two new members will appear soon.

Meanwhile, Yeseo made her K-pop debut after getting a chance to be in Mnet’s Girls Planet 999 winning lineup. The 18-year-old ranked 6th in the finale of the Mnet reality show, securing a place in the debut lineup of the group.

When will Kep1er Mashiro & Yeseo join new group Madein?

A Star News Korea report revealed that Kep1er members Mashiro and Yeseo will join Madein, the re-branded K-pop act, in September to make their new beginning. The report also explained the new name.

As most Madein members got to debut after appearing in K-pop reality shows, the meaning of the group’s name is ‘WE MADE IN U,’ which is a tribute to fans, whose support led to most of the group members’ recognition and prominence. So, the group’s rebranding was necessary to give it an edge that would attract new fans.
