Manchester United have reportedly turned down early offers for Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay this summer, amid interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Apart from incomings, there are a raft of outgoings on United's agenda, due to the club's meagre budget which requires them to sell players in order to raise funds and keep FFP and PSR regulations in check.

Willy Kambwala and Donny van de Beek have already been sold, while there are thought to be plans to move on experienced stars like Casemiro, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

One player who is very much in demand is Scott McTominay, with several Premier League clubs chasing his signature. However, Galatasaray vice-chairman Ibrahim Hatipoglu has now confirmed that the Turkish giants are in talks over a potential deal for McTominay.

Hatipoglu said, as quoted by Haber Sarı Kırmızı :

McTominay's transfer fee is being discussed. Negotiations are ongoing [for] McTominay and Doue. Wan-Bissaka is not our priority.

The 27-year-old has been at Manchester United for his entire career so far, although the academy graduate looked all but certain to be on his way out of Old Trafford last summer.

The midfielder appeared to have fallen down the pecking order and West Ham were interested in signing him, but saw a £30 million bid rejected.

McTominay stayed with the Red Devils and due to a number of injuries to his teammates over the campaign he featured regularly, making 43 appearances in all competitions and scoring a career-best 10 goals.

His current deal expires next summer but the club have the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

The Manchester Evening News has revealed that McTominay is drawing attention this summer and that Galatasaray's early bids have been rejected. There are also doubts as to whether the Turkish giants would actually be able to meet the club's £40 million valuation of the midfielder.
