    Camden County hosts ‘Back to School’ vaccine clinic

    Free vaccinations will be provided by the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services for uninsured children in Camden and Blackwood, NJ.

    This is part of the ongoing effort to increase Camden County’s preparedness and overall health for the upcoming school year.

    At these clinics, children can receive the following required vaccinations:

    • Ages 4 to 6: DTap, polio, and MMR vaccines.
    • Ages 11 and 12: Tdap and meningococcal vaccines.
    • Age 16: Can receive meningococcal vaccines.

    The vaccine drive also gives families the opportunity to chat with representatives from the Osbourne Family Health Center in regard to insurance applications for families.

    “We know that insurance can be a great obstacle and that is why we are breaking down those barriers and bringing these crucial resources right to our families. We hope that everyone will take advantage of our vaccine clinics this summer.” said Camden County Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services.

    Vaccination and test kit sites for the week of July 15 are as follows:

    • Monday, July 15: Catto School, 3100 Westfield Ave, Camden from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • Tuesday, July 16: Mastery Elementary School of Camden Cramer Hill, 1001 17th Street, Camden from 8 a.m.-10 a.m.
    • Thursday, July 18: The Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy, 990 Morgan Boulevard, Camden from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
    • Thursday, July 18: Charles W. Lewis Middle School, 875 Erial Rd. Blackwood from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
