COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported two significant traffic crashes on Monday.

The first occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 26000 block of Ohio 60 in Bethlehem Township. Authorities said Brennyn Shonk, 20, of Mansfield, was traveling southbound on a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left side of the road into a field. He then struck a ditch and was ejected from the bike. The motorcycle overturned several times before coming to rest, a press release stated.

Shonk was transported for treatment of undisclosed injuries to Genesis Coshocton Medical Center. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Walhonding Valley Fire District and Prince's Wrecker Service.

The second wreck occurred at 2:24 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 36 and County Road 495 in Jackson Township. Authorities said Mark Shalosky, 67, of Coshocton was traveling west on U.S. 36 when he struck another vehicle from the back that was attempting to turn left onto County Road 495. The struck vehicle was driven by Robert Bush, 38, of Coshocton.

Bush was transported to Genesis Coshocton Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Jackson Township Fire Department, Prince's Wrecker Service and REACT.
