London’s Elizabeth Bay Productions (EBP) has struck deals with Atlanta-based finance platform FilmHedge and UK sales company WestEnd Films.

The deal with FilmHedge will see the latter financing a slate of TV and film projects, with FilmHedge COO Chandler Heinz Laun managing the relationship with Dennis Davidson’s EBP. Laun will oversee the creative package and individual project financing plans.

Davidson, who is known as the founder on public relations firm DDA, launched in 2019 and is one of the companies behind the Terrence Malik film A Hidden Life . Davidson leads it as Principal, with Grant Hill ( Matrix franchise, Cloud Atlas ) also part of the management, along with Eugene Koh and Clayton Heinz.

“In association with renowned producer Grant Hill, we have spent the past three years acquiring and developing an impressive and varied slate of films and television series as we looked for a well-funded production partner that shared our vision for creating high quality filmed entertainment,” said Davidson. “FilmHedge is that partner.”

FilmHedge provides short-term debt financing to qualified film and TV productions. Its founder and CEO Jon Gosier said: “We’ve been continually impressed by the Elizabeth Bay team and their slate of projects. We are excited to announce this long-term partnership with Dennis Davidson and the whole EBP family.”

The WestEnd Films deal will see EBP handing the sales house a first-look at selling projects from its slate, which includes The Dimona Affair , written and directed by Fred Schepisi from a story by Morris Rosmarin.

“Dennis brings his decades of experience working with talent across the industry to assembling his slate. He has smart taste and with his new partnership with FilmHedge we are excited to see these classy and ambitious projects come through.”
